Our Mission
We as educators need to find and focus on the strengths of
the children we work with from day to day. Our goal is to nurture
their growth in every which way possible through any means possible.
We need to strive along with these very children and their families
to reach their ultimate goals. The list of goals includes but is
not limited to those such as the development of independence, improved
social pragmatics and the building of a sense of self as well as
the strengthening of their self-esteem. We want to give them what
they lack, enhance what they already know and introduce them to the
unknown on their terms.
Holistic Approach and DIR
Our program’s focus is on Social Skills Development
through the DIR Floor-time program and the Holistic Approach combined.
Our program will help to facilitate growth and development in many
areas such as Communication, Social Skills, Speech and Language,
Self- Confidence, Independence, Problem Solving, and Independent
Thinking. Our main goal is to facilitate
appropriate social interaction activities. In doing so, we implement
creative, alternative methods for children with sensory processing
difficulties to learn and thrive in all settings. These very children
need to be recognized for their unique attributes, rather than being
classified as a group by what they may lack. Through the Holistic
Approach, we believe it is an essential component to achieve an overall
positive change. The program addresses each child in three major
areas: Emotional, Social and Academic. This approach helps to nurture
growth and strengthen the child from within. The child is an ever
evolving person with a purpose and we create opportunities for them
to make their mark on the world.
