Mrs. Kathy Bernstein is a dedicated Paraprofessional
Therapist. She helps to provide a nurturing and safe
environment for all the children she works with every day. Her
desire to help children is strong and always professional. Her
ability to improvise at a moments notice to meet a child’s
needs are impeccable. Mrs. Bernstein offers her many
talents through innovative teaching strategies that reach the
children on many levels.
During the school year she is a part time
paraprofessional working with the full spectrum of special education
children. This position has shown her how children learn when faced
with adversity, which has made her even more aware of how we all
learn differently.
Mrs. Bernstein has also been providing
daycare in her home for 9 years. For the last few years
though she has only been providing before and after school care
which includes school vacations as well as summers.
Working with
children in her home and at the school, has helped her to decide
her career path. Her
ultimate goal is to become a Special Education Teacher and
a Family Counselor, focusing on the special education needs population.
Mrs. Bernstein is currently
attending the University of Phoenix working toward her BS degree
in Human Services. She is also planning on returning
to school to attain her Master’s degree in
Counseling Psychology in the near future.
Mrs. Bernstein is an asset to our program
and a blessing to all of the children she works with from
day to day.
